A wiggly fantastic time

We (yes, Daddy too) went to the Wiggles concert tonight with Kyle and his friends Piper and Violet. The kids had such a great time singing and dancing! We even got to hear our favorite song Fruit Salad (yummy, yummy). They really put on a great show!

Missing a Wiggle? The big red car wasn't tooting or chugging. Anthony had to push it across the stage!

Here are our friends Dorothy the dinosaur, Wags the dog, Henry the octopus and Captain Feathersword.

Here we are just having a good time!

Faster than a speeding bullet.

More powerful than a locomotive....it's Super Ryan! He's been super strong from day 1, but man, can this kid crawl fast. He pulls out those laser eyebeams (usually aimed at the dog's water bowl) and off he goes. There's no stopping him. I can't tell you how many times I've had to clean up a wet floor and a soaking baby!

Whoa....faster, faster!

Mommy and Daddy were going to have a little fun and try out the new mountain coaster. You can either go single or double, of course, Daddy wanted to go single because he didn't want any extra weight slowing him down. The coaster has brakes, but apparently the goal, according to Daddy, was not to use them. So, Mommy graciously took her own. Turns out Mommy likes to go fast too, no brakes for me. I weigh less, so I guess that means I was faster :) We made it to the bottom and standing there was a little boy chanting, "I want to go!" It turns out that he was just tall enough to ride. So, Daddy bought another ticket and up the mountain they went. Looks like we have a child with the need for speed, because the whole way down he was telling Daddy to go faster. He hardly even touched the brakes! I fear for the future....

Then we finished off the afternoon with a ride on the chair lift and headed for home. We had such a great time. Thanks Nana and G-daddy!

Is your Mama a Lama?

That's one of our favorite books. So, we thought the kids might enjoy feeding the lamas, alpacas and goats. I think putting the money in the dispenser and getting the food was half the fun. We were told that the lamas will spit at each other trying to get the food. And yes, they did. Then my sweet little boy says to the lama, "Bless you!" I'm glad to see our manners extend even to the lamas. We were having so much fun feeding the lamas, I think Nana must have dropped $10 on food. The lamas, at one point, just disappeared. I don't think they could eat any more!

Echo, echo...

We took Kyle for his first canoe ride. He thought it was so much fun to drag his hand in the water. Little did he know that he was making Mommy and Daddy paddle that much harder! The most exciting part of our little excursion was when we went under the big bridge and he yelled, "Echo, echo...Hello, Hello," over and over again. What fun! Daddy took him out in the canoe again the next day, only this time I think all of the excitement had finally caught up with him. Still holding onto the bar, he managed to catch a few Z's on the way back.

That's a lot of mooing

According to Kyle, that is. We took the kids to the County Fair and got to see all of the beautiful prize cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits and chickens. Ok, maybe not beautiful, but they were the cleanest and most well groomed of their kind. Although Kyle loved the animals (not the enormous snorty pigs so much), his first taste of funnel cake, and the tractor pull, the rides were definitely the highlite of the evening. The grin from ear to ear was just priceless. The kind of pure joy only a kid could have. He would get off every ride saying, "I want to do it again." Ryan had a good time too people watching and looking at all of the lights.

A trip to Nana's and G-daddy's

We just got back from spending a few funfilled days up at Nana's and G-daddy's house. When I say funfilled, I mean funfilled. Kyle was one lucky boy. Don't get me wrong, Ryan enjoyed getting all the attention that he deserves, he's just a little too young to do the "big boy" stuff. We were also lucky to be able to spend some time with Aunt Sandy and Uncle Michael too. Since there's so much to tell, the next few posts will be dedicated to our wonderful trip to the lake.

Teeth, teeth, and more teeth

My poor little guy is cutting a mouth full of teeth all at once. I don't think #3 and #4 have come down completely and we're already working on #7 and #8 with #9 not far behind! Maybe we'll be lucky and get a nice long break after these because we sure could use some sleep around here.

Girls just wanna have fun

This past weekend was our long awaited girls' weekend getaway. Yep, that's right, for a whole weekend there were no diapers to change, no bottles to make, and no trying to come up with new answers to the question Why? It was my turn to eat, sleep, and play! I had such a blast! Thanks ladies, love ya!

George

This is George and he's always very curious. This is Kyle and he's not. We went to story time at Barnes & Noble this morning to see Curious George himself. We were excited to see him when we were in the parking lot, but not so much when we got in the store. He's a much better monkey from afar! Oh well....at least we finished off the day with a little fun in the fountains and a little pizza in the tummy.

Lucky 7

It's hard to believe that 7 years ago, today, I married the love of my life and my very best friend. Where does the time go? Here we are a house, a dog, and 2 kids later, and couldn't be happier. I am so thankful to have such a loving and caring husband and wonderful father to our children. I can't thank him enough for working so hard so that I can stay home with our two little boys. I know he wouldn't have it any other way, but it truely is the greatest gift he could ever give me. It's been an exciting journey so far and I can't wait to see where life takes us next! I love you always and forever!

Out on the lake

We spent the afternoon out on the lake with some friends. It was definitely a hot one, so we were all looking forward to jumping in to cool off. Unfortunatley, you don't cool off too much when the water temperature is 94 degrees! Let's just say it was a little less than refreshing, but we all still had fun of course. Kyle had a great time as usual. Two of his favorite things are driving the boat and feeding the ducks. He got to do both, so I'd say it was a pretty good day for him. Ryan, on the other hand, wasn't too fond of the life jacket. Can't really blame him though, it's kind of a snug fit. He did manage to have a good time splashing around in the water! It was a nice way to end the weekend.

My first goose egg

My little explorer, Ryan, has been pulling up on everything lately. Today he decided to make his way up a couple of steps to get a bag that I had set up there. I heard the ruffling of the bag and ran, knowing where I had put it. Unfortunately, mommy wasn't fast enough and he slid down and knocked his head on one of the steps. Needless to say, he wasn't too happy about it. My poor baby now has a very nice goose egg, however, we're back to all smiles again! Time to put up the gates.
