Just like Daddy

Well, it's officially Spring and that means it's time to cut the grass! When Kyle got word that Daddy was getting out the tractor, he immediately went into a panic wanting to get on his. When Daddy got out the push mower, Kyle ran for his. It was a day of being just like Daddy :)

Notice Abbey following along. She is obsessed with Kyle's little tractor. She thinks it's her toy. He can not ride that thing anywhere without her dodging in front of him. Somehow she maintains this amazingly precise distance away that she doesn't get run over. Crazy dog!

Not much else going on here. Here are a few random pics of the boys. Here's Ryan and his trusty little alligator.

This one cracks me up. If I were to title it, I'd call it "How Low Can You Go!"

I like this one. Only one word to describe this face. Yumm!

And here it is....41 weeks to go: My kids and I

Rick surprised me with an early birthday present so I wouldn't miss out on a month of walks in this beautiful weather. This is proof that I'm such a mom. Who else would be super excited about about a stroller for their birthday! The boys like their new ride too! Thank you! XOXO

42 weeks to go: My kids and I

Man this is harder than I thought! Better late than never....

Well, we've been going a little crazy in this house the last few days. It's been raining for what seems like forever! Ryan has cold, so he's been a little cranky too, adding some joy to the mix. Rick came home tonight to 2 very WILD boys and was like is this what happens when you can't go outside for a few days? I was like...YEP! Luckily, it is supposed to stop tomorrow. Maybe I should thank that lucky leprechaun since tomorrow is St. Patty's Day!

Also, good news so far on the diet front...Ryan has had yogurt, cheese and now milk! If we make it through tonight, I think it's safe to say we can add dairy back to his diet. Maybe the poor kid can actually have some icecream this weekend :)

Fun in the sun

We've been enjoying this great weather all weekend long. We're supposed to have another great day tomorrow and then it all comes to an end on Thursday with some cold rain. But, we'll make the best of what's left. I can't really complain, it's only the 2nd week in March! Not too much else going on here, other than I started adding things back to Ryan's Dairy-free, Gluten-free diet today. This morning he had yogurt, so we'll see how that pans out tonight. If I'm still sleeping at 2 a.m. - things are good! If I'm trying to rock an inconsolable child - things are not so good!

Here are some pics from the weekend...

And this is how a day outside usually ends....Love it!

Is it Spring?

On Monday we were all bundled up building a snowman, and today we're outside riding bikes without our jackets on. It was almost 70 degrees today and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer! Love it! So, of course we spent the entire afternoon outside, well, at least Kyle and I did (Ryan was napping). Since the grass was still pretty mushy from all of the melted snow, we stuck to the driveway today. I spent the afternoon playing gas station attendant, grocery store cashier and post master. Oh, and Officer Mommy too. Kyle got himself a few tickets and a trip to jail once or twice. We had a good time. Such a good time that someone was asking to go to bed by 7:45. You can bet we'll be doing more of the same tomorrow. Every mommy loves a tired out kid :)

It Snowed AGAIN!

Can you believe it? Another snow? Here? Usually, we're lucky to get MAYBE 1 and it's not a very good one. Well, we lucked out. Of course we got all of our gear on again, another 20 minute ordeal trying to stuff little hands in mittens, toes in boots, and arms in coats. But.... we did it and it was well worth it this time. The kids weren't sick, so we actually got to spend more than 5 minutes outside. Fortunately, the snow was good enough to build a sizable snowman. One as big as Kyle!

Please excuse the glowing snowman :) The sun was hitting it just right, I guess. It almost looks like I photoshopped it in. I promise I didn't (I would have done a better job). Kyle was pretty proud. My neighbor was kind enough to lend us a carrot for the nose, all-be-it a teeny one (she only had carrot sticks), it did the job!

Ryan had a decent time too, I'm not gonna lie and say he loved it. Again, the snowsuit and mittens were a bit bothersome, but a little more tolerable this time :)

We loved the snow, now bring on the Spring!
